Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Shlesinger, born 22nd February 1983 is an American comedian and actress who is also a TV host executive producer, and screenwriter. She was the winner of the NBC show Last Comic Standing 2008 and has since been the host of the syndicated dating program Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.





 Shlesinger hosted Truth and Iliza, a late-night talk show on Freeform in the year 2017. She has six Netflix comedy specials. Her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show premiered on Netflix in April 2020.



 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where her family moved to Dallas when she was just a little girl. She was a student at Addison's Greenhill School, Texas. In there, she learned Spanish and was a member of the school’s improvisation team.





 Shlesinger has performed on ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She also performed in Semester at Sea. After that, she went on to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. The college where she majored was film. While there she honed editing and writing abilities as well as joined Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a campus comedy sketch group.

 After college, Shlesinger relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. She was one the most popular members of the Whiteboy Comedy troupe of standup comedians from Los Angeles. It brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
