Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donavan was featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when she was approached by a hopeful photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. When she was spotted by the director of casting for a James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody's name was included in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors from 1986. 38. Doody She was just 18 when she played the part of Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. She is the youngest Bond Girl to date. Another early movie had her in a minor role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead part. The episode aired in 1988 opposite Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody acted in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman. She continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. After almost a decade away from the stage Doody returned to acting by playing a minor role in the 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. Her roles include a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
